Established in 2009
In HINDI the word "KUSH" means "HAPPY" and our goal is to prepare fresh, made to order dishes, that promote healthiness. We believe that healthiness runs hand in hand with happiness. A few culinary minds, a lot of dedication, and a love for food, became the KUSH BOWL, est. June 2009. The idea: freshly cooked restaurant quality dishes, in take out style time, at an affordable price. The name KUSH, stands for our dedication to healthy food, while allowing us to venture into a diverse range of spices, flavors, and dishes.
Meet the Business Owner: Jay Y.
Born in Gardena, raised in Cerritos, Jay started working at the age of 16. He was lucky to find all kinds of work from smoothie shacks to burger joints, car washing to cubicles. He even spent a year playing poker and traveling. But through it all, what kept Jay grounded was his understanding of the reality of social injustice, and acknowledgement of the social and moral consequences of apathy. This is his passion. Therefore, when Jay created Kush Bowl, he dreamed of dedicating it to the community through good food, charity and fundraising, promoting peace love and happiness :)
